Tennessee Unarmed Security Officer Training

This online initial training course and renewal course prepares Tennessee unarmed security officers to meet the initial and 2 year renewal training requirements in TCA 62-35-122. It reviews professional responsibilities, legal limits, observation and reporting, access control, emergency response, and workplace safety. The program uses realistic security situations to reinforce sound judgment, clear documentation, respectful public interaction, and appropriate escalation. Officers finish with a practical refresher for performing unarmed duties safely, ethically, and in line with current Tennessee licensing expectations.
